Background Information - Job-specific

 Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECR) supports UNOPS offices in the region, providing management and financial/programmatic oversight of Global and Country specific Portfolios, Clusters and Operations Centers including hosting services, fund management, management advisory services, implementing projects, procuring goods and services and managing human resources.
ECR operates its Global Portfolios from offices in Geneva and New York.
Under the general supervision of the Head of Support Services, and direct supervision of the Procurement Advisor, the Procurement Analyst manages and processes both standard and complex procurement requests as well as a variety of procurement-related tasks and actions.
In the discharge of her/his duties, the Procurement Analyst works effectively and efficiently, ensuring timely and cost-effective support to internal clients in accordance with the UNOPS' Financial Rules & Regulations and the Procurement manual. 

Geneva office, in accordance with the UNOPS Geneva Procurement matrix of responsibility.

Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.

OR

A bachelor's university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.


Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with master's degree or 4 years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree at the national or international level in procurement management.  Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Office 2010 and/or newer versions) required.


Fluency in written and oral English required.  Working knowledge of French is desirable.
