This year has been key in advancing the environmental agenda and will conclude with the UN Environment Assembly - the world's highest-level decision-making body on the environment - gathering in Nairobi, Kenya, from 4-6 December 2017, under the overarching theme "Towards a Pollution-Free Planet".

On the occasion of the visit to Geneva of the President of the UN Environment Assembly, H.E. Edgar GUTIÉRREZ-ESPELETA, Minister of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica, a briefing in preparation of this important meeting took place at the International Environment House.
